Brett K. Rentmeester, CFA®, CAIA® Director

Brett has been working with wealthy individuals and families to develop and implement investment strategies that are integrated with their retirement, tax and estate planning goals since 1997.

As a Founding Partner of Altair Advisers, Brett’s role includes client service, business development, and firm strategy. Brett is also a member of Altair’s Investment and Alternative Investment Committees.

Prior to forming Altair, Brett was a manager in Arthur Andersen's Private Client Services practice, specializing in investment advisory and wealth planning services. Brett’s media exposure includes appearances on the PBS Nightly Business Report, quotes in the Chicago Tribune, and presenting to the World Presidents’ Organization.

Brett is a Chartered Financial Analyst®, (CFA®), charterholder and has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation (CAIA).

Brett has an MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona with a degree in Finance. Brett is an active member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute. He is a member of the Major Gifts Committee of the Edward Hospital Foundation and an inaugural member of the Philanthropic Ambassador Council at the Northwestern Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness.

Brett and his wife Shannon, along with their daughter, reside in Naperville.
