In the summer of 2002, we founded Altair Advisers to help guide our clients through a complex financial world. Altair’s principals formerly led the Investment Advisory Services practice of Arthur Andersen’s Chicago office. When Andersen withdrew from the investment business, we successfully attracted over 95% of our clients to our new firm. At that time, we were 13 people serving 75 clients and supervising approximately $550 million in client assets.
Now more than ever, investors appreciate and demand objective investment advice that is free from the conflicts of interest that plague the financial services industry. Since 2002, we have grown to 27 employees serving over 200 clients and supervising over $2.3 billion in client assets. Nearly all of our growth is due to referrals from clients and other professionals – a testament to the quality and attentiveness of our service.
Altair Advisers takes its name from one of the brightest stars in the summer sky, which has been used by navigators for centuries to chart their course.
